This book is the not quite the continuation of the last book, the Jusuits written by Fr. Morrissey, but a more in depth biography of a very interesting and intriguing man, his life long dedication to his faith, teachings and commitments to social justice. Fr. Ryan, a man of multiple talents with immense energy, and his deep devotion to the Chinese people who, in turn, revered him even to a memorial in Windsor Castle. Some of us have attended his classes during his teaching years in Wah Yan, some might have known him through other channels, we all agreed Fr. Ryan was not only a great teacher, but also a great humanitarian.

This is a piece of history of Wah Yan College, biography of a great man and a wonderful book Wah Yan old boys cannot afford to miss. A limited 400 copies have been reserved by Fr. Deignan for distribution among old boys of Wah Yan.
