Removal of Radioactive Wastes
Many will remember the Government has been promising to address the
concern of radioactive watses underneath Wah Yan. The necessary facility
has now been contracted to complete in November 2004 after which the
wastes will be removed within one year. We understand that since some
time ago no fresh wastes have been placed in the tunnel.
