A Chinese banquet reunion dinner in the School Hall was organized by the PSA on the evening of the Speech Day (14th November 2002).

Speech Day speaker Professor Francis Lui Ting Ming, Director of the Centre for Economics Development and Professor of Economics, School of Business and Mangement, HKUST, and Mrs. Lui were our guests of honour at the dinner.

Also attending the dinner were the 3 finalists of the Students of the Year Award: Chan Tin-lok, Tse Kwun Hon and Yung Ka Ming. Each of them received a token award in the shape of a HK$3,000 cheque from the PSA Chairman Nick Tsui.

Immediate Past President Michael Au announced that the honour of the Students Ambassador of 2002 went to Yung Ka Ming who will be representing the PSA to visit various members of the US Eastern Chapter next year.

24 Oct 2002: Students of the Year face panel of judges!

Today a panel of 11 judges selected our 2002/03 Student Ambassador amongst 3 finalists Chan Tin-lok, Tse Kwun Hon and Yung Ka Ming who are all execellent young men actively involved in Wah Yan life. They are the Head Librarian, Deputy Head Prefect and President of the Student Association. During the selection process, they had to conduct a radio show style discussion on topics such as "the art of communication with parents" and "sex education in Wah Yan". Then they presented their own speeches which they had only 24 hours to prepare. Finally they had to answer a series of questions fired away by the panel. It was truly eye opening to witness such impressive displays of flair which shame a lot of public figures we have to endure daily in the news and indeed touching to remember they are from our dear mother school. I walked away feeling extremely proud of all of them no matter who would become the Ambassador. The Ambassador will be announced at the Reunion Dinner on 14 Nov.
