Dear Wahyanites,
After months of fierce competition, HK96B (WYHK) took the Championship of the
Wah Yan League (1999-2000) with a 5-1 victory over ZBFC-R (WYK) in the final
games on 8th April, 2000. ¦êB (WYK) took the 2nd runner-up with a 2-1 victory
over Grand Sport (1978 WYHK). Each team has had 9 to 10 straight wins to get
this far. Philip Cheuk ¨ô§Ó½å of HK96B snatched the top scorer title ¯«®g¤â with 11
goals.
Thanks are due to Mr. Ronnie Kung, Council Chairman of the WYPSA, for his impeccable
organization of the event.
Special thanks are due to Mr. Norman So, Principal of WYK, and his management
staff for their strong support of the event.
We would also like to express our appreciation to Peter Tang (WYHK1978), Ko
Pui Yung (WYHK1974) and Kelvin Mo (Chairman, SMC) for their efforts in orchestrating
the 15 teams from WYHK.
The League has been a truly enjoyable event for Wahyanites from both campuses.
Through serious yet friendly competitions, we have come to know and appreciate
each other a lot more.
Well, guys, it's time again to start calling up your classmates who like football
and get into gear for the next Wah Yan League!
